Professional Excellence in Family Law
Joanne has worked in family law since 2000 and brings over two decades of specialised experience in complex parenting and financial matters. As a Legal Practitioner and Accredited Specialist in Family Law, she combines deep legal expertise with genuine compassion.
For over 17 years, Joanne served as a Judicial Registrar in one of the country's most heavily litigated registries of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. In that role, she exercised judicial powers on a daily basis, conducting court hearings and clarifying, resolving and determining complex points of law in both parenting and high net worth financial matters. This judicial experience provides Joanne with invaluable insight into how disputes are approached by the Court and enables her to clearly communicate the legal principles relevant to a broad range of cases.
Joanne is recognised as a Leading Mediator in Doyle's Guide and is also a member of the Specialist Accreditation Family Law Advisory Committee, reflecting her standing within the profession and her ongoing contribution to the development and standards of family law practice.
Specialising in mediation, arbitration, parenting coordination and collaborative processes, Joanne has highly developed dispute resolution skills and a strong focus on assisting parties to reach equitable outcomes where appropriate. As an experienced negotiator, she is able to guide parties through available options, helping them balance competing needs and interests within the framework of the law.

Approach to Dispute Resolution
Every family situation is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. The approach taken is collaborative, respectful, and focused on achieving outcomes that work for everyone involved.
By creating a safe, neutral environment for open communication, parties are empowered to make informed decisions about their future while maintaining control over the outcome.
Whether through mediation/FDR, parenting co-ordination, arbitration, or collaborative coaching, the goal is always to help families resolve disputes efficiently, cost-effectively, and with minimal stress.
